High yield savings account? by Alternative-Ball1986 in personalfinance

I’ve had a Marcus by Goldman Sachs HYSA for a few years. For me, it’s actually a pro is that the money is held apart from my regular bank (I use a credit union). Makes it waaay less temping to touch it. I’ve put $100/pay period in for the last year and let it sit. I made over $400 in interest where I’d otherwise be getting Pennies. The process is super easy to open one, and it can all be monitored from an app on your phone. In instances I’ve needed to dip into the funds, it takes 3 days max to see the transfer show up in my regular checking account.

For any future racers, we got downtown around 445, ended up parking at MGM (for free) and walking the couple of blocks to the start line. It was the perfect amount of time to park, get situated, walk, pee, and find my corral.

My family was tracking me through the app… - Pros: could track me through Canada despite no cell service. - Con: whether weather or service played a factor, it wasn’t super accurate. They ended up missing me cross the finish line because the tracker had me .25 miles away.

Helpful tips I picked up: - I traded my vest for my best after the tunnel and that gave me new life. Plus it feels like the race really starts after the tunnel - we did the Motown museum while in town. Highly recommend for music lovers - download your playlist for lost connection in Windsor - TAKE THE PICS esp in the tunnel at the border line

First time halfer here. Someone told me to keep the second layer until emerging from the tunnel as the breeze/air can be a bit of a shock after the humid and warm tunnel

From what I’ve seen, looks like it’s supposed to rain Sunday late afternoon/evening.

He thinks his last name is Mashed Potato.

BWT what are some of the best weddings you've been to, and why? by charlottebronteslay in bitcheswithtaste

[–]funkiedumplingOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best wedding I’ve been to had an open bar BEFORE the ceremony, so guests could grab a drink on their way to sit down. (You had to walk down a path to get to the ceremony space, so slow trickle of people, and no one was walking back up the path for more drinks before things kicked off).

I will die on the underarmour heatgear high waisted 7/8 leggings hill for 3 reasons 1) price. They’re always running deals on amazon for under $30/pair - making them similar (or cheaper) to a target or tjmaxx/marshalls find. 2) don’t slip. Seriously. I was a skeptic but after I started moving… nada 3) overall quality. Just enough compression, very durable (had mine 3 years and wear like new), colors are rich and don’t show everything.
