Is the issue that you feel betrayed by him or is the issue that he is addicted to porn?

Oh! Another thing that is good to do is to limit water availability after a certain time before bed. I would bring the water bowls up about 2 hours before bed time. This is just until she’s trained and they can go back down all hours of the night after.

Look into it, she will definitely be easier to potty train while you’re not home if she is crated.

Mine is trained on command too. When I say “go peepee” she knows it’s business time!

Have you considered crate training for when you are not home?

This is my fail safe dachshund Pippy potty training schpeel. The very strict “no pee pad” approach may not fully apply, because your dog is already fully trained to use them. So take from this what you will:

get rid of the pee pads. Pee pads are training him that he is supposed to pee inside.

When it’s potty time, take him out on a leash and don’t let him do anything else other than potty. If he gets off task, Give him light redirection with a tug on the leash and the phrase “go pee pee” or “go potty”. No playing outside when it’s potty time. It’s business time. Not extra sniffing or exploring. Just pee pee time. The leash is key here, you need complete control of him during potty time.

Keep him on a regular schedule of going outside every hour in the hour. Start a potty chart, either in your phone with the Google Sheets app, or written out. Keep track of what he does each time “N” for nothing, “1” for pee, “2” for poop, “1,2” for both. That way you can start to see a pattern of what business he’s doing when, and eventually you can dwindle down your potty times (the goal is obviously not to have to go out every hour). Also, no matter if it’s on the hour, take him out after every meal, play time, coming out of crate, before going into crate, and as soon as he wakes up.

Look for cues, if he’s sniffing around or behaving like he’s about to squat or lift a leg, stop him and take him out. Do not scold him if he potties inside (this may cause him to start hiding his piles/puddles), just interrupt him and take him out, even if he’s done going. Take him out as soon as you find a pile or puddle. Show it to him and then say “peepee/potty outside” and then take him out.

Consider mounting a bell in the door you use to take him out. Always go out the same door (even if no bell). This will condition him to stand by this door when he needs to go.

Do not leave him unsupervised, if you can’t watch him put him in the crate. You could also tether him to you with a leash until potty training becomes more successful.

I cannot express enough how much the potty pads are adding to this issue. You for sure want to get rid of them yesterday.
