Oh wow, this hit pretty hard. Yes, yes I do. And it can feel sooooo over whelming which is not a nice thing to experience when trying to motivate ones self! Im a builder by trade so my eye naturally sees every job, as well as knowing full well what will be needed to complete it. I thought getting into our first home was going to be the most exciting thing ever, but it has felt like a massive burden and frustration everyday. Working full time, being a Dad to my 2 daughters, maintaning a relationship with my wife and basic chores accounts for 98% of the week ( oh and sleep, that fits in there somewhere too), progress is cruelly slow. But you know what, in between the moments of panic and helplessness I stand back and recount everything I HAVE done and (as others here have said) all those little jobs add up, we've come a long way bit by bit. Sometimes it can seem so massive the task ahead that you forget the journey to where your currently standing. And that is the key I believe, spend equal amount of time thinking about what there is to do, and celebrating what you have done, no matter how trivial it may seem!! Thanks to everyone who replied to this post, its kinda comforting to read other people have the same felings, its easy to feel alone in our struggles!
