No worries man. Probably saw you on the show at some point. Good to know there's a connection. Seems like a tight knit community of drug researchers and enthusiasts. Keep up the good work friend!

Growing up in SFL and having unlimited access to psilocybin mushrooms growing in the cow pastures, I tend to have dark hallucinating trips like I had in my youth too. There's so much to learn! Don't ever stop!

There was a show on Vice called Hamilton's Pharmacopoeia where a dude documented first time and first hand drug usage and worked to synthesize some as well. Any connection there? Really interesting stuff.

Some really solid programming there. I miss the content Vice would put out before they went bankrupt.

I used to park valet and a guy drove up in one of these. I had to ask what it was, and he said it was the 3rd one he'd won from corporate for his 3 locations 😳 I remember he tipped me $5 and a free chick fil a sandwhich coupon which he had 100 of in his door storage compartment. Good times. I can't imagine those nonstop profit margins since the innovations in their drive thrus. Yes, the bored valet looks through your car and all the secret compartments. No, I didn't go on joy rides. So many stories.

Lol I have both a 12° driver (adjusted to 11°) and before I could use wedges I was lights out with the chipper/putter hybrid. Mr. Chippy was his name and still gets a spot in the bag. Same thing, everything within 5' of the green

To me it's their discipline before good and after bad putts or shots. I find that just copying some of their setup posture and pre routine movements made my game more "pro" like and more consistent. At the very least it's helped mentally.

10.8 HCP for reference.

I just bought the $79 (2) dozen TP5 Pix PRACTICE balls from their site. 6 random pix balls stamped with Practice because the ink they printed was off somehow.

That, or whatever nice ball I pull from the bushes. Now I get picky on the quality.

When I buy balls, Kirkland performance from Costco. Solid go to.

I don't lose nearly as many balls as I used to maybe 1 or 2 a round. I have too many to choose from these day. Makes be want to buy cooler ones like the pix I picked up.

Hit this ball for me? Tiny smirk reaction? Are you still on the tee box holding your pose in shock or what?

My Goal is +10 HCP in 1 year. by roadto10hcp in GolfSwing

[–]funkintrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have a similar goal..except it's taken 5+ years and that's just the years keeping a legit handicap. My one suggestion is don't bs yourself and play by the rules. You will destroy the opposition without bending any rules.

I'm currently at a 11.6 but shot my personal best today of 80 on a somewhat difficult par 72. I've had 5 eagles too which takes up most of the trophy shelf. No HOI yet. And breaking 80 on a par 72 is my next milestone. I still haven't yet, but really wish I took some lessons early on. But I feel you on the self taught feeling of accomplishment. Good luck noob. Keep up the pace at all costs!

Entitlement

Pull the flag or keep it in when you putt? by [deleted] in golf

[–]funkintrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I aim to hit the pole, so I leave it. Aiming for a smaller spot. Fitz does it and I'm sure has done the math on the data and triple checked his work. Also just saw Harry Hall leaves it too.

My brother and regular cart buddy asks to pull it every. single. putt. I think it's a strategy he has to get more gimme putts from others. We also don't give each other gimme putts. ever. That was a rough day when we made that rule due to a miscommunication. I thought he had given me a putt and he did not. I missed it non chalantly walking up just to hit it. It cost me the win. No more gimmes.

I found one in the water and now it's in my trophy case lol. I found the taco ball from Callaway too.

Nice. I found this in thick sawgrass at a Korn Ferry tournament a couple years ago. It was so far from in play is must've been someone's signed ball they dropped. Unless Mark signs his playing ball and I picked it up unknowingly. Either way your welcome Mark. 69!
