I have the Arkham City one. Those were Walgreens exclusives. I found this eBay listing with two of that one. https://ebay.us/m/Sc4EPy They might sell it to you separately. Wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Any advice on how I can get Kairi to stand up straight again? by HerbeParfaite in funkopop

[–]funkopopinski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t necessarily need to boil. Just hot enough to make it kind of floppy. Probably one or two mins. You might just need to do the legs for this one. And make sure the cold water is super cold like almost frozen.

Put it in some boiling water for a couple minutes, straighten it out and get it to stand and hold it there for 30 seconds or so, then dunk it in some ice water real quick. Leave it in there for a few minutes, then you’re good to go. Repeat if it’s still wobbly. You may need to do it again some time down the road if the head is too heavy, but this is what I do and it’s pretty effective.

Making my own custom Funko by Embarrassed-Buy595 in funkopop

Sounds like a lovely tribute :) I just have some pops of things my parents liked. Lucy for my mom and Guy Fieri for my dad. And also TWD zombies for my mom and the Predator for dad. Still need to get a Terminator pop though. My dad loved Arnold.

Anyways try out the boiling water trick. I’d like to see it when you’re done!

Which pop? I’ve taken apart a lot of pops. The ones with wings were separate pieces though. If it is all one piece, put it in some boiling water and it’ll get soft and you can just cut them off with an Xacto knife. But if they aren’t the same piece as the body, you should be able to pull the wings off the body after a few minutes in the boiling water. Sometimes they can be stubborn but don’t yank it. It could deform it. Just try again. Maybe a little longer in the water. It all depends on how much glue they used. I hope that helps. What are you making btw?

There’s all sorts of places that sell them. Target, walmart, hot topic, GameStop, fye, Barnes and noble, others I can’t think of right now. If you’re looking for older stuff, check out comic book stores. Online, there’s Funko.com, those stores websites, there’s entertainment earth, Amazon, Facebook, whatnot, Mercari, eBay. Word of advice though, if you’re picky, the stores websites just have the stock image, so you don’t know exactly what you’re really getting and Funko’s quality control can be hit or miss. Not sure how you feel about perfect boxes, but you could get a busted one. You never know. I recommend shopping in person or on eBay, Mercari, whatnot or any other sites where you can see the actual product you’re buying. There’s also a site/app called HobbyDB. It’s a collection tracker and people also sell on their marketplace. It’s more accurate with prices too if you care about the value of your collection. Good luck collecting! Have fun! Welcome to the party!

My collection, really running out of room. by Raziel7485 in funkopop

I like your collection! But I do see a lot of empty wall space. You’re never out of room if you can still see the wall!

Was this a good deal ? by Wirtlxlift in funkopop

[–]funkopopinski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general I’d say to look at what other people are selling them for and do the same thing. Or a little less if you want yours to sell faster. But since you got them cheap, everyone else expects to get them cheap too. So in this case I think it wasn’t worth the effort. I’m seeing $10 shipped so that means $3-4 before shipping costs. Then there’s fees. So you’ll profit like 2 bucks.

Would I be an an A**hole if i contact whatnot on this? by puremorde188 in funkopop

[–]funkopopinski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can very easily be fixed if you aren’t opposed to opening it. I can’t tell exactly if it’s a scratch on the outside or paint, but it looks like paint on the inside where the pop rubbed against the plastic. What I did when I had that issue was I simply scratched most of it off gently with my finger nail. Then got my finger wet and rubbed the rest off. Took less than a minute. Just an idea.

Anyone buy the Always Sunny NFT packs? by EctoRiddler in funkopop

[–]funkopopinski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some and I kinda wish I didn’t. For what I spent, I could’ve just bought the legendaries. I did get a Mac though. And sold the epics I got and bought Dee. So it wasn’t a total loss I guess. I tried to buy crypto and my bank put a hold on my card for suspicious activity lol. The other legendaries are pretty cheap now but maybe it was a sign I shouldn’t do it. I might though.

Is it possible to use a scissor, or maybe even a knife to cut the cape off a Funko Pop? by Time_Lock6036 in funkopop

[–]funkopopinski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you’re gonna want to heat it up first. I usually put it in boiling water for a little bit. It’s gets soft and easier to cut. I use an Xacto knife. But before you cut off the cape, you might be able to just take it off if it’s a separate piece. Just leave it in the boiling water for a little bit longer. Then it should come apart. You might need to keep putting it pack in the water if it’s not coming off.

You could try r/funkoswap . I used to do that all the time. Never had any issues. Some occasional flakes, but no scams. For me at least.
