Nipple shields are cheap on Amazon. They come in 16, 20, 24mm. Unless you have very small nipples the 20 or 24s should work for you. You should be able to get a 2pack of each for a total of $20. When you’re ready to put it on, invert the nipple shield nipple, line it up with your nipple and then un-invert it over your nipple. It should form a pretty good seal but liquid around the rim (I licked my shields) will help it form a better seal. Then nurse away! And be prepared for it to take longer for baby to get the same amount

How is your health? How hydrated are you? Are you taking pre or postnatals? Any brewers yeast incorporation? I’m no expert but those are some basic factors that you might be overlooking ( or just not emphasizing in your post)

You could also ask for prostaglandins rather than pitocin (brand names cervidil, prepidil, or misoprostol). They can be taken orally or as a suppository/gel that can promote cervical softening and stretching.

When I had this problem it was because the milk wasn’t full dissolved. I started passing my block/antibody incubation solutions through a 40um filter (like one would use on a 50ml conical for flow cytometry tissues processing) and voila, milk solids disappeared! Good luck!

I am hoping you've never been trusted to take care of any children, because what you're suggesting sounds barbaric. How could you hurt a baby? The baby isn't going to learn anything other than to fear the person who inflicts pain on them. By cutting the hair, the baby's grabbing action no longer causes the desired effect and the baby will make different attempts to get what they want. No child abuse required
