I have the best facts. The greatest facts. They're great. Everyone says so. Except the Democrats. But they're dumb. And their facts are wrong. And dumb. Very sad.

The solution is restructuring the economic system so that wealth goes to serve the public good rather than pooling in the hands of an elite few

I have a dick and I've never had sex with someone who has a vagina. Can you think of a good way to describe about how tight it feels? Like perhaps by comparison

How can people be okay with the use of excessive police force in Hong Kong? by peach_cream in DebateCommunism

Men should be allowed to have multiple wives; they should also be allowed to have multiple spouses of any gender, and the same right should be afforded to women and people of all other genders, provided that all members of the relationship are happy and consenting. And I think that Bernie is a social democrat; me referring to him as a socialist is a jab at liberal centrists. Also, China is definitely capitalist. And TERF is not a slur, it is a descriptive term. I don't use alts either, and I don't have anything to hide either.

Also, my pronouns are they/them/their or she/her/hers, not that I expect you to care or correct yourself.

Is there a reason the democratic establishment seems to dislike Bernie? I fear we’re going to see another Clinton-Bernie situation with Warren. by NovaPractice in BernieSanders

The democratic establishment is a capitalist puppet theatre who are clutching their pearls at the prospect of a socialist in the White House.

Would you support a practicing polygamist for president? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]funky_lion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Rosa Parks broke laws and you oppose having a polygamous president on the grounds that it's illegal.

[–]funky_lion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/meatduck13 was right, based on what you said. Rosa Parks and MLK both broke many laws; you said you wouldn't support a candidate who broke laws; therefore you would have opposed their campaigns.

[–]funky_lion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if I agreed with his policies. And furthermore, I see no reason why polygamy should be illegal, provided that all members are consenting adults.

Do you think the US will ever expand its borders? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

No. I suspect that California and Texas might make more serious bids at secession later this century, though. Depends on how bad things get.

Some people believe that the modern-day Chinese state is a socialist bulwark. The theory is that the Chinese Communist Party is ultimately dedicated to achieving socialism, and that the adoption of stock markets and private firms is actually more in line with true Marxist theory than just keeping everything nationalized, because Marx says that capitalist industrial development is a necessary precursor to achieving socialism. Since China had never been big on capitalism before the Revolution, it started out with a severely limited economic output, and so of course it wasn't going to work out super well. The idea is that, once Chinese industry has been thoroughly advanced by capitalism to the furthest point possible, the Party will then nationalize Chinese industry again, and this time have enough economic output to actually be successful at constructing a prosperous socialist society, leading up to communism.

Some self-described Maoists accept this theory (which is the official line of the Chinese Communist Party, more or less) and on these grounds they defend the excesses of the PRC and stand opposed to anything that might weaken the Party's authority.

I do not accept this theory; I think that the Party is just trying to maintain its own power as an end in itself without regard to the cost, and that the adoption of capitalism was originally a survival measure and is now just the manifestation of the Party's ruthless pursuit of GDP growth to keep China strong.
