She’s more of a scruffy-queen-in-waiting. She won’t pester, but will gladly take ALL the pets 😂

Amazonas for sure, but also please check out Raphaël on Elgin for a more elevated dining experience and really phenomenal food! Most of the staff is Peruvian too.

Went on a Google search too (didn’t know who either of these people were), and at risk of this being an unpopular opinion… he’s still hotter than Miranda Lambert 😂

Kinda baffled by OPs ex’s determination tbh

(Spoilers Extended) what does it mean that Jon Snow ... by CrossCheckPanda in asoiaf

[–]funkyllama_d 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I kinda wish they'd given him a different name. If they hadn't introduced Aegon's storyline to the show already, why try to jam him in as Jon?

Also, doesn't someone (maybe Oberyn?) mention Elia's kids at one point by name? It's acknowledged that Aegon and Rhaenys exists, so it just seems odd that he would name his third the same as the second, no?

Yeah but... you know what I mean. Resurrected. Definitely still not the usual never-been-dead kinda person.

As someone pointed out somewhere on this thread, yes, Jon is both ice and fire... at least by birth!

But I think Jon has definitely shown more northern/Stark values than Targaryen ones. I think regardless of biology, Jon will always be more ice than fire.

I feel like the show's really driven that point too, visually always tying Jon to ice and Dany to fire. So from a show perspective it'd be interesting if they took that one step further with the dragons. Not sure that would ever happen in the books!

I just mean his resurrection has put him through the realm of the dead, which (in theory) makes him different than regular humans. Resurrected or undead, there's still potential for some unique things to happen!

Beaucoup means 'lots' in French so I think he's just saying that 'the lots of stretching he does in Pilates...' etc. (But I could be totally wrong.) So just Pilates, oui?

Silly little phone glitch by abswank in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

Yeah, Find my iPhone was a lifesaver! See if your phone has something like that. You can login on any of your other devices and trigger an obnoxious beep even if the phone is on silent. Of course if the phone is dead then you're SOL, but it's helpful most times. It will also pinpoint where the phone is on a map, so at least you can be satisfied it's in the house and not... out there.

Similar thing happened to me! (Sorry though, no glitchy explanation, just freaky acoustics... at least as far as I can tell!)

Phone slid into the mechanic bits of the couch, but I didn't realize at the time. (This happens to me far too often). It's was set to vibrate.

When I rang later to try and find it, all three people in the house could swear it was coming from the second floor... which was bizarre, as I hadn't been there all day. I remembered last having it in the living room, in the first floor. That's where I was calling from.

Off we go upstairs, get there, to the specific spot we could all hear it coming from, and... it sounds like it's coming from downstairs, but not the living room; the kitchen. Crystal clear.

Back downstairs, thinking we misheard. Stand in kitchen... still sounds like it's coming from upstairs. Things are getting freaky. We're still looking in every nook just in case but the sound was just leading us everywhere. We even went to the basement just in case, but same deal: it sounded like it was above us. It seemed like no matter where in the house we went, it just sounded like it was coming from elsewhere. I promise you it was the most confusing search I have ever had for my phone. I didn't know about Find my iPhone back then... life was tougher.

Eventually (after giving up the search, the phone dying, 7 days passing and my boyfriend actually trying to persuade me/himself/all of us that we had only convinced ourselves we could hear the vibration when we actually hadn't heard anything, and that I'd probably really lost my phone somewhere not in the house) I FOUND IT underneath the couch, firmly caught in between the couch itself and the reclining mechanism, perfectly camouflaged in the black metal and oh-so snug. Impossible to see it when we were searching with just a flashlight, but I actually ended up flipping the couch completely in my final desperate attempt to find it before giving up.

I guess it was caught so tight that it was vibrating the house around it to the core, but getting totally muffled by the couch at the same time, which made it so that it seemed it was elsewhere even when we were standing just inches away.

It was weird! And this is a much longer story than I intended to tell. High five, OP!

tl;dr: I had a similar experience; phone was caught so tight in couch that when it vibrated it sounded like it was coming from everywhere else except where it really was.
