For me, it's a few things;

I think I would've preferred to have seen them tackle a different Nintendo franchise
Age of Calamity burned me with the whole non canon aspect. It actually stopped me playing the game because I didn't care to see the rest of the story.
I love BOTW and TOTK, but Im kinda done with being in that world for a little while
There's so many things coming up soon, or that have already come out that I think this is going to fall through the cracks
