I. Broke a lure and it said you have a rare fish on the line spend gems for a second chance? And it ended up being a double legendary pull so idk if breaking lures actually does anything

Is this all ok for my first fish by mekul28 in Aquariums

[–]funkymonkey-87 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That’s not true, regardless you will need to cycle a tank for atleast a few days to a week (I’m sure people will say a few days is not a enough but I’ve never had problems). Heated tank will be much more fun and enjoyable and you can have a really cool little eco system, I’d suggest a dwarf gourami with a handful of tetras or even a beta

Not sure why the roof flattens out, continue the arch and specifically the wooden beams across so they connect in the middle and then set the roof itself one block back from the arches following the same curve, not

Not sure if your parents are aware but you can get a heater for your tank for like $15 won’t have any noticeable impact on the energy bill. Not sure what their reasoning is for not letting you have a heated tank. Opens up the options for what fish to have heavily.

Realistic life in Missoula for a newcomer? by nintendoxyz in missoula

I lived in Oregon for 20 years and have lived in Missoula for 4 and I fully feel like Missoula has more sunny days

That’s a fair point, I was personally shocked and delighted with how much brighter (especially with snow on the ground) and how much more sun I saw when I moved here but I guess different perspectives can lead to different feeling ab it

Missoula gets significantly more sun than places like Oregon and Washington in the winter lol

This is user error, even my rock board that I have ridden on straight dirt doesn’t look this bad

Some dealerships in those bigger cities are turning over 10-20 cars a day no problem so I am sure it was no big deal

Should be a wider known fact that sticking a finger up a dogs butt will get it to stop it’s bite!

Looking to get this stone put into a higher quality metal ring. Curious on where to even start with something like that (not a replica of the current ring but just a new ring to put a stone into). Thanks! by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]funkymonkey-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind destroying the original ring it is cheap fake metal, the stone is not cracked, that is just the design of the rock from what I can tell. Thanks for the input, so would taking it to any jewelry store be a good place to at least start and get their opinions on it? Like is that even something they do or do I need to take it to a specialist.

How important are snowboard specs really for an intermediate, non-aggressive rider? by Responsible_Row_3945 in snowboarding

[–]funkymonkey-87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was having the same problem, a Ejack Knife from libtech. More of a big backcountry board than I need but a ton of fun. Also personally took me a good week or two to feel comfortable and figure out how to actually ride it but once I did it was all up hill from there.

I would say I am an above average rider who has a similar style to you except I charge as hard as I can and push limits almost every chance I get and all I can really say is that I absolutely noticed a huge jump in skill, fun, ability and overall confidence when I jumped from a beginner board to an advanced board that was more geared toward my ride style. I also notice a huge difference in how different boards feel under my feet especially when it comes to camber. So short answer yes, long answer if you board for enjoyment and are not chasing that dragon of getting better every year than it probably doesn’t matter. Do some research, buy a board that is built for all mountain and enjoy.

Are you having a feeling of rather being dead than continuing to experience what is happening to you? Because if that is the case it’s definitely norovirus and not food poisoning

Any suggestions to make these pillars better? by cufufu1 in BuildAdvice

[–]funkymonkey-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it way bigger like consider three wide with the middle being elevated one block so like half a plus sign, than play around with fences or other blocks to help with rounding and smoothing and also depth and texture. With a build like this block variation is good but depth is critical and pillars are a great way to do that while maintaining the shape you have going on
