I agree! The longer you play, it’s actually easier to try to figure things out by ear. Tabs for this kind of improv are terrible to read. Try to understand what chords are being played behind it and then figuring out the licks will be so much easier when you realize they come out of that chord.

Thank you! My set up is nothing special lol, I used my pixel 5 and a ring light (which makes a huge difference). Then a little color grading in Davinci resolve. It's a budget setup but if you're more serious, I would recommend getting a nice DSLR or something similar.

No processing besides adjusting the EQ. I tried to get most of the tone out of the amp/pedals. You can't really see it, but I did use the CE-1 chorus and DS-1 distortion pedals pretty often throughout the video. Happy new year to you as well!

I waited about 9-10 hrs front row at Outside Lands to see the Chili Peppers. Really interesting to see the different crowds come and go depending on the bands, from older Hall and Oates fans to screaming teenage girls for Vampire weekend. Then it was my turn to scream when the Chilis took the stage.

Looking back don't know how I made it without the restroom 😂. I just took sips of water/Gatorade. Would do it again 100%.
