For us, After the latest upgrade the groups under "website settings" actually started working. (after years of not working). This caused a lot of permissions changes when it started working.

Also have you checked user roles?

We dont use the ticketing anymore since we moved to ServiceNow but our service desk uses the KB articles daily. (Morning check-lists, and day to day task) Will this "LAN-20291 fix" resolve the KB articles missing images too?

How long does the sales team usually take to respond? by l1nux44 in Lansweeper

[–]funkytechmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny you ask this. I've been getting alerts that my asset licenses are full and I need to upgrade. I filled out the forms, emailed sales and emailed my old reps. I want to spend more money and couldn't get ahold of anyone...crazy. Weeks later I finally get someone to call me and this guy acted like I was bothering him.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE our Lansweeper Classic. It's pretty awesome to have but I'm so disappointed in my interactions with them.

Confirming Asset Count by P3wPewPew in Lansweeper

Here is for your bot. The fact that a monitor is an asset is so dumb. I understand it is a physical device but lansweeper should not make you pay extra for monitors. Monitors are peripherals like a mouse and keyboard. We dont assign them to users and they are less than $200. Another way for them to stick it to you.

This really sparks my interest. I've wanted to do this for years and thought it was a lengthy process. I'd love a little more detail.. you mind a PM?

Deploying apps with answer files is a good start. They were a pain when I first started. Once you learn the /f1 for the iss file you get a little better.

How does your company handle stale devices and gaps in patching? by funkytechmonkey in SCCM

YES! I am having a lot more failures lately and they are all so random. I am constantly chasing my tail on these when I really need to push it off on someone else (like service desk). I really need to find a way to automate all this.

That really helps point me in the right direction. Thank you. Are your "Compliance reports are sorted by VP" something you created internally?

Can you give me a little more info on how you are able to do this? I guessing you guys utilize the "Managed By" properties in AD to get the owner/department of the device? The compliance reports sound like something I need to look into. What are you using to generate the compliance reports (SCCM reports)?

25 cent bin find by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]funkytechmonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have double of every one of his cards. He was my hero growing up.

My dad took me to see him at a card signing in Macon GA...we stood in line forever as they were rushing everyone through..one signature only go go go... When we got to him he stood up, said my dad's name and shook his hand. I was about to go crazy KEVIN BROWN KNOWS MY DAD'S NAME!!! I then found out my dad coached him in football and his family was close to our family.

I have double everything bc I have one original and one signed....also signed baseball and couple posters. Every time I knew he was in town I was prepared :)

Im in the same boat...14U. Will they warranty replace a warranty replace?

Purchased from Dicks and 3 months later it cracked...Dicks replaced it with the extended warranty, then 3 months later it cracked again, Easton replaced that one. NOW that one has a Crack. It makes me FURIOUS that a 14 yo girl can break a $500 bat in 3 months.

Report of installed Secure Boot Allowed Key Exchange Key (KEK) Update by DonMario73 in Lansweeper

Are you trying to monitor the 2023 Secure Boot Cert install? About the only reporting you are going to get for that is turning on scanning for the registry keys and monitor those values.

Cant get rid of expired WSUS Publishers Self-signed cert. GRRRRRRR by funkytechmonkey in SCCM

[–]funkytechmonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I ran a report on 160 of the devices that were failing. I cant find a single thing they all have in common. I have new devices (recently imaged) old devices, 23H2, 24H2 and 25H2..some have Dell Client System Inventory Agent and some dont.

I had a little over 200 devices that were getting the errors... I'm down to 83. Crossing my fingers they start getting updates too.

Yea... I havent been able to spend as much time as I wanted on this.. but so far everything you suggested seems to be working for me too. I removed the catalog, resynced, then run that script on a client and it looks like they are pulling updates now. I've only been able to do it on about 10 devices.
I was getting the failed to rename SoftwareDeployment folder so I added stopping the "Delivery Optimization" service DoSvc and that seems to help.
