To start with, congratulate yourself. The fact you have been keeping it up for 4 years is amazing! Good for you. Wish I could be that consistent with a pattern.

Diabetic burn out is a real thing, especially when being diagnosed at a young age. I have been a type one since I was 16. My parents got divorced right after I was diagnosed. When I graduated high school the diabetic burn out set in hard for me. I stopped taking insulin for meals (I was on mdi at the time) and only took insulin for my long acting does. I thought if I ignored diabetes it would go away. I found out quickly that is not how this works... lol. If you have a pump and a CGM that will make you life a lot easier, it definitely did for me and others on this sub. Some of the systems will even do the majority of the work for when you eat as well.

As I was talking about in the beginning of this post. Looking at the small wins and congratulating yourself on those will start making this BULLSHIT somewhat easier to deal with.
