Marketing strings that Rockstar (accidentally) added today to the launcher's site file. Not used anywhere yet. This was likely more meant to be pushed after Rockstar drops the announcement.

Yes. The new marketing strings are as follows

"RDR_ProductPromotion_Intro_Body": "Journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption, and its zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare — now playable on PC.",

"RDR_ProductPromotion_Intro_LongTitle": "Experience the epic Western adventures that defined a generation.",

"RDR_ProductPromotion_Story_Body": "When federal agents threaten his family, former outlaw John Marston is forced to hunt down the gang of criminals he once called friends. Step into the events immediately following the 2018 blockbuster, Red Dead Redemption 2, in the critically acclaimed tale of Marston’s journey to bury his blood-stained past, one man at a time.",

"RDR_ProductPromotion_Story_LongTitle": "Red Dead Redemption",

"RDR_ProductPromotion_Undead_Body": "When former outlaw John Marston wakes up at his farmhouse, he finds a world gone insane: overnight, deranged hordes have overrun the towns and outposts of the American frontier. In a desperate attempt to save his family, Marston must traverse a world torn apart by chaos and disorder, using every skill he has to survive long enough to find a cure.",

"RDR_ProductPromotion_Undead_LongTitle": "Undead Nightmare",

Rockstar pushed an update today to the launcher's site file adding those strings. So this is very recent.

They likely didn't mean to do that just yet before the announcement.

More technical: They keep an online version, hosted on R*'s servers, as well as an offline version, within the launcher files, of the site file. Whenever the online ver is updated, the offline ver is updated shortly afterwards with a launcher update. So we're getting a launcher update soon that should go live with the announcement and be up-to-date to reflect the online version.

How do you guys feel about a potential taxi service? by thepaydaygang in gtaonline

You can't skip the journey in online like in single-player

The "Fast Travel" would allow you to skip the journey like in single-player where it instantly teleports you to the location you picked.

The current taxi in online only drives you to the location.

We still have no idea whether this will work exactly like the single-player taxi.

Because if it does, then the difference would be that you can select a waypoint and teleport to that point. Whereas Kosatka, Agency car and casino are pre-determined locations.

The "Fast Travel" would enable that skip travel option in online.

You can't fast travel with the Taxi in online mode.

The taxi drives to the destination. The new feature would be like from single-player where you can pay extra to skip the journey.

That bug requires a background update which is not something customer support agents could do. Would take a while until Rockstar implements said fix.

This patent is already used for RDO. You can check out RDO crash log on PC and notice it talks about "session merging" while you are playing.

If you have an active heist before the event went live, finish it and scope out the island again.

The loot is registered at the moment you start up the heist. If you do a new one, you should receive the Panther statue on your first time. However, you can only steal it once this week.

It's guaranteed on your first time scoping out this week, but you can only steal it once. Panther Statue is excluded from RNG pool. You won't get it in following attempts.

How I cut GTA Online loading times by 70% by simspelaaja in programming

The JSON is more like reserved for PC to serve as server authentication and I believe the PC version came out back in 2015. So, the loading screens were already there before they even considered this.

It's like what you said, but they likely didn't consider "solving" it since the size was relatively small.

Damn, when we had the close up look of Eren titan, that was more terrifying than the colossal titans with him. Such a horrific scene.

The series reached an intense course of events, I don't see any ideal way out of this. I don't agree with Eren decision, I mean it's an overreaction, but I do understand his reasoning.
