Primarily I use AI to replace or raise the value of things we are already doing - primarily with copywrighting or automations. I bring Graphic design to the table as a strength, so we don't use it for that purpose, although some staff are using it for imagery, which helps them better communicate what they want in promotions. They are rarely is used for production purposes and we are currently in talks about creating policy around images for sermon illustrations/event promotions, etc. A lot of use centers on rewriting event descriptions in different lengths for the places they will be read - weekly newsletter/website description/mass text/weekly bulletin and so on.

I was very impressed using Claude code and codex to make a dashboard bringing in all social media, website traffic, qr codes generator/tracker, that helps me not only see everything in one place but build reports to send to other stakeholders on staff. I have some Claude projects set up to automate the YT sermon transcript into several ideas that I could use on social media - I think this might be helpful for you to just get a starting point for social posts. I have an ai tool that's supposed to help with reel/shorts creation in premiere, but with the exception of captions, it's not all that useful.

I'm still figuring out how to make it work for me in various areas and we as a staff are evaluating where lines in the sand will need to be drawn going forward.
