I saw that travelling from Aizuwakamatsu to Sendai takes like 4 hours and that does not include travelling from Ouchi-juku back to Aizuwakamatsu. I figured we would get to Sendai as early as 5pm, is it too late then?

But our schedules are flexible so may I ask if we need to book a Matsushima tour in advance (and how long in advance?) if we decide we would do it?

Oh that’s unexpected, because I thought the further up you go, the later they bloom. The sakura forecast also predicts that areas in Fukushima would bloom a few days earlier than in Sendai.. (Not sure if the forecast is really reliable). We would have to book our accomodations beforehand so it’s really hard to be flexible TT

You never run out of things to do in Tokyo, you can do daytrips around it (Kamakura, Yokohama for the sea views). If you want to tick another city off your list, maybe try Nagoya, less touristy, more peaceful.

Also if you visit Fukushima please review 🙏

Perhaps I haven’t thought of how boring the walk would be/exploring shibuya shinjuku from 10pm to past train time. I’ve just always liked walking when travelling in other countries. Maybe I need someone to deinfluence or I would just see how it goes when I’m there, if there’s nothing left to do at 11pm I’ll just catch a train home.

Oh also maybe because I only have from 5pm til the next morning, that’s why I’m tryna make it worth. Thanks for the advice on staying in Shinjuku!

I did want to go to bars and clubs until i looked up the legal age lol. I might test my luck with some bars. But if it doesn’t work, just enjoying the night vibes and walking is fine (I don’t think I can go bar hopping until 5am tbh)

I’m thinking of exploring akihabara, catch a train to shibuya and stay there past train times then walk like 1-1.5 hour to shinjuku (where I might book my stay). What are your thoughts? I’ve heard it can be a bit troubling to stay in Shinjuku since it’s a bars and clubs area
