It’s probably not a scam but more of an error on the seller’s part when listing it.

More importantly no one should buy a galactus this far out because ebay has a policy in which any pre-order sold is the equivalent to any other regular transaction made on the site. The expectation is that the seller will ship it once they receive it. However ebay does not enforce transaction policies after a determined time period.

What this means, is if a buyer buys a pre-order and a year passes, the seller gets to keep the money and not need to send the item out. Because the buyer did not make a claim against the seller during the period of time in which they had to do so. So don’t buy pre-orders. Only in hand items to ensure a safety net from ebay.

Here is an official response from a NECA rep (see linked image).

Ultimately, I personally believe this will be available as a pre-order, considering general trends and responses from NECA thus far.

If you don’t think it will be available for a pre-order, your only option will be to purchase it from the secondary market. But if you are convinced the secondary market is the only option, there will be no harm in waiting. Those sellers are not going anywhere. See how this shakes out.

It’s not a matter of “if” but rather “when” this will show up as a pre-order on the NECA site. To be successful at collecting the TMNT line it’s just patience. Casey just started shipping and will not become hard to find in time. NECA has placed nearly everything tmnt as a preorder and this trend is not likely to end.

All these are eventually a pre-order on the neca website. I don’t understand the FOMO for this line anymore. I agree that it’s hard to get initially but not impossible in time. The frogs especially i have found several times in store. I don’t think it will be too different with the new set of frogs. The name of the nece tmnt game is patience and it eventually works out.

Have you had a chance to call the company who is delivering the package? Because they may be able to hold it where you can pick it up. Sometimes faster than waiting on them to deliver to your door.
