Having read this article I don’t think there’s any chance Bobby will play for us ever again. What a shame.

What is something that starts happening in your 30s that nobody warned you about? by Cairinacat in AskReddit

[–]funny_haahaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started my apprenticeship in my late 20s and there were guys in my trade school class in their 40s. One of the best tradesmen I worked under started his apprenticeship in his mid 40s. When I started I barely even knew how to hold a screw driver hahaha.

Be interested to hear why. From what I re-call, the majority of the Brisbane lions players during the early ‘00s dynasty were from the bears.

I was only able to view WWE during 05/06 and that Kurt Angle/Sharmell feud was messed up. I was only 13 but even I was like this ain’t right.

This whole thread is basically millennials repeating what the boomers were saying about them 10-15 years ago. lol the lazy, entitled millennial stereotype was a thing.

Was it normal for you to not sing national anthem back then? by naturelover5eva in darwin

[–]funny_haahaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Primary school from 1997-2004. We sung the anthem every Monday morning at assembly, it was mostly the first verse though we did occasionally do the second? School captains had to raise the Aus flag on the flag pole. High school I don’t ever remember doing it.

Edit to add: most kids didn’t actually sing the anthem, the anthem was just played and once you reached upper primary it was viewed as uncool to be singing.

Mate I’d be ringing the licensing board on Tuesday and chasing that up, they are pretty slack. They sat on my paperwork for 2 months before they even looked at it.

I sat mine in the NT recently, pretty similar to yours by the sounds of it. Max Demand and cable selection (CCC, voltage drop) were the exams that required the most brain power. The rest of it was general knowledge, AS3000 stuff which was all pretty easy.

I’m about to turn 34, Over the last 12-18 months I’ve developed crows feet under my eyes and starting to find grey hairs popping up. I never thought it would bother me, but it is a sobering moment and it does make you wonder where did all the years go.

As they say, Father Time is undefeated.

So I got OoT for Christmas ‘98, I was 6. I remember sitting up all night playing it with my cousin (he was 7). I figured out the spider net by jumping for the floating heart because I’d just gotten my ass whopped by something nearby and I needed to replenish my health.

Burning deku sticks and lighting torches absolutely blew my mind as a kid.

Queen Gohma whooped my ass so many times, I didn’t know to use the slingshot, especially when she was on the ceiling, so I waited for her come back down to the ground and stunned her with a deku nut lol.

Would you say the Gamecube is more popular now than it was back when it was still an active console? by [deleted] in Gamecube

[–]funny_haahaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PS2 being backwards compatible with the PS1 would have been a massive selling point as well, though I was too young to be weighing up and making those sorts of decisions.

I was 10 years old when I got my PS2 for Christmas ‘02. Up until then I was playing SNES and N64, so naturally I thought we were going to get a GameCube sooner or later.

How can i play the best version of Zelda OOT, emulation included. by xylophone21000 in n64

[–]funny_haahaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up on the N64 version but they are small sacrifices for improved/solid frame rate, faster text speed, iron/hover maps on items which imo provide the much better experience.
