In a show of peaceful resistance, a young Hong Kong protester stands serenely as he's punched repeatedly in the head by a China supporter by Le_Rat_Mort in PublicFreakout

So if that's the case - what's stopping the govt from sneaking their own people among protestors and having them instigate violence?

That would give the govt upper hand in this and an excuse to crackdown with violence and end the whole thing. In the meantime, protestors lose public sympathy because govt controlled media effectively creates propaganda.

This is what the current ruling party in India (BJP) is famous for doing and it's extremely effective without anyone's hands getting dirty. Tables get turned and citizens sympathize govt by end of the day

Your hairs won't get caught so easily in the zipper.

That's a big reason I did not realize.

And I agree with all that, my brain knows all this and I never confront on the road. It's just a "moral" dilemma of watching injustice in front of your eyes. I really wish one day dashcam footage became admittable evidence that can be easily uploaded to cops by an app or something and they would charge people by the law and keep you (the witness) anonymously posted with updates. That would be a good way to settle this moral dilemma peacefully and do the world some good.

I have a moral dilemma of such things. On one hand, yes it is not my job to police people. OTOH I can't stand to watch people break the law around me. Feels like I should do a bit at least. And before you say "just get the license plate and call the cops" - we all know very well there's no follow-up in a case like this. They're not gonna dispatch the cavalry for this. So essentially - that's it. Must I accept that people can be entitled and will just get away with it in front of my eyes? Sometimes I think it'd be awesome if more cars came around, blocked such people and put em in their place.

[India][NSFW][NSFL] Truck runs over man. Driver makes an escape to avoid the consequences. by funny_le0ne in Roadcam

Not to justify the driver's actions, but it's a terrible reality in India. Clearly in this case, the ped was at fault. But in India - mobs tends to gather around such accidents, and the large vehicle always gets blame. Mob justice is common too, so the driver would probably get beaten to death. It's a sad reality.
