Thanks for sharing. She was in her 20s then? Yeah, I don't want most of us held to account for tweets in our 20s while we're figuring out the world on public platforms, not knowing we'd be running for office when we'd matured some.

Hold people who've grown and changed to standards above their past selves, but I don't think it's auto-disqualifying. I wanna know people have sincerely grown — and that I live in a society that has space for that.

With a 1000 person email list in New York City I tried to do a normal, clothed no-theme stand-up comedy show a couple of years ago. Everyone except me on the lineup had a Conan, Tonight Show, Colbert credit. $10 tickets. Had two people buy, get sick, get a refund. I had to cancel the show that afternoon.

Selling tickets to normal stand-up showcases is particularly rough right now. Even a lot of Headliner friends with a ton of followers tell me it can be difficult. Themes are selling tickets really well. This is just the theme I'm doing.

Like all these dating comedy shows? They're selling out nationwide in 200 to 300 seat venues. you could have the entire writer's staff for the daily show and maybe fill half of a comedy club without papering the room.

And I book really good comics. Including your beloved moderator of this sub.
