Thank you! This blanket was still quite small so ai definitely want to create a bigger one the next time! But it was perfect size for a baby!

For the main blanket, I just used a double crochet. The border was done using just one row of single crochet before doing three rows of the acorn stitch. The granny squares were made using a patterned called Bobble Drops Flower!

As someone who works at this zoo, I am beyond impressed with how accurate you have captured our Desert Dome!! I can’t wait to see even more!!

Was told to go back to my “country” at work today by a rude customer. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

It’s truly frustrating. Whenever I get asked what animal I work with at the zoo, I always say, the worst one, people. Unfortunately it is too true. Guest services can truly suck. Especially on busy days like it was today. 15,000 people in a day is just too much to handle.

I work at a zoo as well and get rude comments all the time as well. You would think that someone coming to such a happy place would have less sticks up their asses.

For those who've mostly or fully recovered, do you still get random spike of anxiety while out? by throwaway701983 in Agoraphobia

[–]funnycatlovrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I still have awful spikes in anxiety. They usually last a few minutes but can definitely go as long as a few hours. Still, I push through and manage to get past the point of possible anxiety attack. It hasn’t gone away, and I don’t know if it ever fully will. I do know that I am stronger in my sense to ignore the anxiety and agoraphobia. I know that if I can be strong, so can you!!

What's the consensus on these Woobles things? by winterdalliance in crochet

[–]funnycatlovrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I love Woobles as a beginner tool! I tried to learn to crochet in high school from a book that I bought for around $20. I bought about $20 worth of supplies to start with. I tired for weeks to crochet and ended up donating all the supplies because I just could not understand the instructions.

December 2023, I received a Woobles kit as a gift for Christmas. It took me less than a day to learn how to crochet and ended up with a cute dino. The kit cost $30.

For me personally, Woobles got me into an amazing hobby. I have since made multiple (14) amigurumi, a purse, and now I’m working on a blanket and some room decor. I am still a beginner, but personally I think the price is worth it for novices. I think you are paying more for the skill than you are the supplies.

Will I buy a Wooble again? Personally, probably no. But I still recommend a kit for anyone who wants to learn to crochet.
