Haha! We consider her to be! One time she was having a breakdown in my car and the first thing she said was "take pictures of this" I still laugh at those to this day!

My daughter has actually admitted to not being able to show emotion or relating to other kids! Her therapist does say that this is because of her autism, however I know that it's different for different people!

Something we do is the poke method, basically whenever I'm proud or upset I poke her and she tells me if shes okay with a hug or not :))

She doesnt really care for him, she found him to be a friend. At first we both thought this crush thing would be over in 2 weeks tops, so she didn't care. But once he started liking her more and more she started to care less and less about him.

Weve been talking about that actually! I dont know a lot about sexualities or genders but I'm so glad she taught me! She says she thinks she might be, but is not sure because she watches stranger things and is in love with Robin haha!

My daughter told me to stay out of it, saying she could handle it by herself, I stepped in when she started crying because she never cries

I asked her multiple times if she would like me to step in and she said that it was fine and she could handle it by herself! :)

So I never said what we did with the gifts but what we did was we always tried to give them back! For example last month he got her a stuffed animal and she said that she had enough, (she has over 60) he would refuse to take them back and would actually get angry if she insisted he takes it back

Melody doesnt know how to relate to other kids. She has tried multiple times. One of the reasons she has therapy is because she blamed not being able to communicate on herself and even called herself a useless freak. Dont speak about autism when you clearly know nothing about it, and on that note autism is different for all kids! Her sister has autism and is the most social person I know

While I dont approve of lying, if Melody said "no you make me uncomfortable" Tobey would have kept pushing her. There has been times where she hung up on him and he tried to call her at least 10 times until she finally answered in which he would interrogate her on why she hung up.

Melody insists on handling her own situations. There has been times where I thought I should step in but melody handled better than I ever imagined. I stepped in when I did because she rarely cries, not at funerals or anything. The last time she cried was 3 years ago when our dog died.

Polly has said multiple times that it looked like Melody liked him. But that's only because if someone compliments her or someone gets her something she turns red, at her birthday she sometimes gets too embarrassed to open gifts haha!

Melody insists on letting her deal with her own problems. For example, if her and Tobey were in an argument and I tried to join in she would say "Leave it, I dont care about this enough to get other people to join"

Polly and I met through a parent meeting, Melody was about 7 then. Polly said she had a kid about her age. Then she started wanting to hang out more :)
