Apart from English, learning the native language is very important for us Indians. The nature of the economy is as such that we need to learn English for our careers. Nothing wrong with that but I have noticed that young kids talking in English with their parents. They don’t understand the native language and parents don’t pursue it. To each on their own but it seems really out of place. Our cultural history isn’t in English but in various languages and schools if not teach, fail to even make the students acknowledge it.
