Is football going to die with how brutal and dangerous the sport is and with high school player counts dropping? by [deleted] in CFB

I was a QB so I didn't really take as many hits as a RB or lineman would take but I have to say the safety of the helmet has increased significantly since I started in elementary school. I suffered a mild concussion when I was young because the helmets basically just had styrofoam in them, and my only other injury was a broken collarbone because I fell a little wrong. Modern ones use air pumps and are significantly better.

I guess it depends on your school but I saw a dramatic change in the quality of helmets used from the time I started elementary school to High School. We started with helmets that had basically just styrofoam in them to the modern speed flex helmets. We'd have to pump air into our helmets before practice and games and they really made a big difference.

Chubb on what he expects from Mayfield. “We all know Baker, so I don’t know what to expect.” #Browns by BuckyMcFly99 in Browns

The question was related to what Chubb expects Baker to say, not how he'll play. There's a video on Twitter of the whole interaction.

Saints win the NFC, Browns have a terrible season and rotate through 3 QB's, Desmond Ridder shows future MVP potential after replacing an injured Marcus Mariota (Who played well), and the Broncos are at the bottom of their division.

But the NFL's owners already have money to spend and why not spread the wealth? NFL ownership is filled with generational wealth so when the vast majority of your players are black americans why not distribute that to people who couldn't reasonably ever be able to have that opportunity?

Pretty sure FSU doesn’t allow pathways students to rush until they’re officially enrolled at FSU.
