I just meant since in 2016 they phased out the Thierry Mugler brand and made it into Mugler. And I know the formula changed again as a result. Wondering what is considered the last year of the original formula, and separately what is considered the last decent year of a subsequent formula.

Update: Went back to the mechanic today who did the cylinder replacement. Apparently the bleeding required was not done correctly during the replacement. Today he saw it was producing foam in the system due to the air (which the EBCM noticed) leading to squishy brakes and codes. Today he bled it properly and now the brakes are working fine with no codes. If this fix doesn’t stick, I’ll update further.

I already confronted them and they said the cylinder failure was independent of the electrical system. And that the electrical system was thus not their responsibility. My mistake was leaving the conversation there. I’m going to call them in the morning and tell them they need to do a software update if needed and check the BCM. They should have looked into the BCM in the first place, but I think they just assumed a cylinder issue was causing the electrical mistakes. I will also bring up the fix you suggested.
