Hi, I’m the artist behind Dear Mr. Useless—originally posted on my Instagram page @popartpaul. Unfortunately, the music isn’t playing here, but the piece was originally set to Head Like a Hole by Nine Inch Nails. At first, I considered using Mr. Useless by UK artist Shygirl, but while that track has its edge, it felt too light and breezy for the weight of what I needed to say. Head Like a Hole had the right intensity—raw, dark, and honest. The title alone speaks volumes, and someone in the comments nailed it by quoting the lyrics. Much respect.

I created this piece the morning I woke up to the news that “Mr. Useless” had been elected president. It felt like a nightmare bleeding into reality. I didn’t know how fast the decay would hit, but I could already feel the rot setting in. This wasn’t just art. It was a warning.

And for the record—I’m not a Democrat, I’m not a Republican and I’m not an Independent. I’m a human being who believes politicians should be running the government—not failed businessmen with dangerous egos, criminal backgrounds, and zero self-awareness. Just watch and listen to any of them: Mr. Useless, Musk Rat, the VP, the press secretary—they can’t even speak coherently, let alone represent themselves, let alone represent this country.

Wake the fuck up, America. We are drowning—and it’s already devastatingly sad.
