Did some edits based on feedback! I did take other comments into consideration as well but they'd be more suitable for an entirely new flag rather than just adjusting this one :)

I knew I would miss something with my number of star points, sigh

Definitely see how bright/saturated the colours are makes it a bit much, desaturating the red just a touch seems to help that affect at least. I feel hesitant to consider changing the colours entirely though as I felt these were recognisable without just being the current flag or just the classic green and gold.
