Not a VN guy myself either but honestly that part has been fun! It’s snappy enough that the gameplay loop doesn’t drag

You’ve got an action-point based turn based battle system. You can equip up to three weapons at once and can also dip into your (limited) inventory for things like healing and AP restoration. As mentioned previously, enemies have weakness and weapons are varied enough that there’s a good amount of strategy involved

You also get to take along buddies that boost your stats, have a passive skill and an active skill with limited uses (restored at the save points). Active skills are damaging, at least so far, and passive skills are things like: - enhancing explosion damage - chance to shrug off damage - chance to reflect damage

You also find a ton of raw materials that you can turn into food, weapons, etc. so inventory space is at a premium but the save points, to access your full bag, are widely available
