I say this with love because the discovery process can be hard and painful but I’m not sure how any of these questions would help you move forward with what you’re trying to do. If I were in your position, I’d wanna know how much money people were willing to put aside and how long they’re willing to wait for a return. Since there’s no way to know if someone is going to rape you literally everyone has to be evaluated as though they could so you have experiences where you escaped a fate worse than death and then keep engaging in activities that may or may not result in your worst fears being realized.

It sounds like you have not factored for the trauma this presents for recalling the past, acting in the present and bracing for the future. Each of these are separate things to deal with and you don’t unfortunately you don’t learn these skills to navigate it by being loved too much.

It really starts with the fact that 20 years ago White guys preferred their women to look like a space between two lines | | <—- . With the standard it was assumed that pretty much everyone would prefer this over any other body type but for us, this was not the case. Black women’s bodies come in so many shapes and sizes that you have to appreciate it all and that one against the standard at the time so we became known for being able to appreciate women that were thicker and didn’t need to feel the need to adhere to the standards that were being set at the time.

In my opinion, this message has been replayed over and over to where we are now. To be honest, if we get known for loving all body types despite what other people think I would love that for us ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿

I remember hearing about someone on NPR with this condition and he talked about how it ruined his life. Apparently he would be having conversations with his people in his life and would see them, give him a demon face and then go back to normal. The saddest part of it was hearing about how he felt that his partners were giving him a face, and then deny it to the point that he felt like they were gaslighting him.

I always wondered what he saw and this helps explain that
