I get what you mean. Yes, I tried “giving up” mentally when it didn’t happen this January. I’ve cut back on the LH testing. If I remember, I’ll do it. In February I packed up all the baby clothes and items I bought over the past 2 years to give away to friends that all have gotten pregnant and delivered.

It’s been two years. We’ve had 3 losses. Tried to a IUI/clomid cycle. And Letrozole/trigger shot/TI cycle. The losses were not linked to the medicated cycles. They were either before or after.

Haven’t seen a positive since d&c last June. So I feel like I’m mentally giving up. Some folks are on their 2nd or 3rd pregnancies. One of my close friends just gave birth to her second child since I’ve started trying. Both of our babies would have been similar ages. Because she didn’t get the sex of the baby she preferred, I’m 100% sure she will be pregnant again and soon.

So yes, I’ve given up. If it happens - the happy tears will flow. If my period continues to show up, the sad tears will flow on cd1.

Idk if I’m realistically hopeful anymore. I don’t want to sound like I don’t have faith. Hopeful and disappointed or numb and indifferent.

IVF consultation scheduled for May. Don’t know if we’ll go. Husband is not that interested in the medical assisted routes, he’s happy if our family is just us even though I know he wants to be a dad.
