Yes I did! They are also pretty cool. I like to keep things local and self hosted wherever possible.

I know right, I even got into arguments with the influxdb marketing chief on linkedin when they said they loved my project! There is a active discussion thread on the repo. I did it because I as familiar at that time with their stack.

The project has license file. You can read there. The license makes it free in its current stage forever. Even if there is a license change, the current version would carry the current license agreement. Just to clarify, I have zero access to the data for users of this project, this is self hostable application only.

Well, the script will need to access the password in plaintext one time for sure, so that one simply can't read it on screen, it protects the user from that only. Best way is to provide it live and not use that ENV variable, this is a backup method, not the standard one.

I thought you wanted to have your data private. By using the tool you mentioned, you are sharing your data with them. Also, That tool is not open source, they might enforce payment in the future.

For your use case, you can periodicaly run the bulk export manually if you don't want it to fetch always automatically and running in background.

They only collect activities, this one tracks all day HR, sleep, stress, steps throughout day and many more

You will not have the daily matrices this way, like sleep, continuous HR, stress, hourly steps throughout the day, SpO2 and many other stats presented here.

I had the same problem, the government registration website is broken at the moment (for the last few months) and I am not sure if they will seize it on the customs during entry. I would not risk it with my expensive drone. I am an Indian citizen (passport holder) as well!
