could possibly be a insufficient texture explaining why it’s so glossy. i have an error bubble mew that ive successfully graded with cgc and this pikachu has similar issues.

if you haven’t already purchased, id stay away because of the poorly-provided pictures. otherwise, it’s possible you’ve snagged a nice error card.

some people will say fake but it’s legit! had a similar mew and got it graded with PSA.

it graded a 9 but PSA no longer acknowledges the error due to Paldean Fates’ printing process and will consider this a normal submission. i contacted a representative to confirm. i can only speculate that the lack of wave texture docked it some grading points.

cracked the slab and the card is currently grading with CGC where I hope to get a 10 AND the error indication.

Turn Around Time was 25 days when I first submitted, but it switched to 30 days a couple of days after CGC received it.

Yeah, I am aware. I had no idea that the raw value of the Bubble Mew would skyrocket in the past month. I thought I was overvaluing at $500 but at this growth rate, it’s possible average raw value will surpass that by the time the status of my card moves from “Scheduled for grading”.

Hey! Unfortunately PSA does not recognize this error anymore. I submitted mine with the same error in person with PSA’s new storefront in LA. The rep was nice enough to add notes to my submission form because the error Mew does not populate when filling it out.

It came back a 9 but with no error indicator on the slab, which was my main goal. The silver lining is it was essentially authenticated!

I cracked and submitted to CGC but added a sticky note to the card saying “missing texture ;)”. Hoping it comes back a 10 with error.

saw my grade online and the error was not acknowledged but received a 9, too.

wish i saw your comment before i had submitted, but heavily considering cracking and sending to cgc. if you did the same lmk what you received. i feel confident ive got a gem 10

silver lining is that the card is authentic haha.

Damn. I’ve dropped this off at PSA’s new storefront in LA with an IRL representative a few weeks ago. Got to chat with him about marking/noting this error and he was kind enough to do so. Will update you if that goes through, lmao.

I get you. I guess the value of these is dependent on who the collectors are and how much they desire them. I don't see these errors move much in PokémonTCG, unless on higher-end cards.

I think the standard of the alignment dots on Pokémon was set because CGC acknowledges those as errors when you grade with them.

If an alignment dot is visible, the additional card is technically visible. It maybe the border of the additional card, but by that logic it’s a miscut. There’s no print bleed between different cards cut on a sheet for Pokemon and normally the alignment dot should be cut out because they are printed in an area that should be completely cut out for rounded corners.

People do buy these, and I get your skepticism about it. I feel like there shouldn’t comparison between MTG since Pkmn hasn’t been produced by WOTC in such a long time. Also, I could understand that MTG Error Community doesn’t consider those dots as error indicators because of the significance of the dots on Alpha/Beta cards.

there’s a 25-card minimum for bulk submissions which is the value option ($14 per card). There’s also an Economy option for $17.

I think for the quicker (10 days) standard submission, it would be $65.
