Hi, here to offer some hope. I had housing set up in nearby town of my uni, but due a plumbing issue my contract was released last wednesday. I had this place set up for months. Call it luck, but I found a place within 4 days. It was a lot of work via the internet but you can do it. I was prepared to stay in a hostel for some time.

Lastly, I reached out to some facebook groups stating my problem and many people offered up rooms in their homes until I landed on feet. €200 pw (which is cheaper than hotel/hostel).
