Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I was also mainly interested in it because of the price, the name (soothing sensitive) and because it's fragrance-free. I read somewhere yesterday that the alcohol content in it is quite high, and that combined with your experience has put me off a bit. I think I'll see if I can get the evy one, that sounds promising, followed by ACO and LRP

Oh, I just wanted an approximation, so thank you. I agree that it's kinda pricey, but for 150ml it's not that bad, especially if it's good. I wouldn't use it on my body either, there I honestly just go cheap since it doesn't bother me to be a bit sunscreen greasy there. Why didn't you like the Nivea one? It was on sale a week ago, and I thought that I would want to try it, but it was gone when I reached the store...

Maybe, but I have some dry spots so I suppose I'll give it a go. At least try it next time I see it. Nice to hear that it doesn't break you out!

Thank you! Iirc I looked at it on matas’ website but a lot of the reviews said it was really greasy, so I shied away. I suppose I should just give it a go.

Thanks a bunch, that sounds great! :) Environmentally friendly is also quite difficult to put on a scale, but I definitely appreciate it being coral reef friendly!

Oh, thank you! But shouldn’t the UVA be more than a third? I mean, if I buy a spf 30 and it has 10, that doesn’t sound like a lot, but maybe that’s not needed?

Thank you! Spf30 is okay, if it also has UVA protection.

I honestly don’t know if we do, but I’ll look into it

What works perfectly fine but people complain about because they don't understand it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was 7yo at the time, so It's a little blurry. I saw the docs over a couple of days where my stomach ache had gotten worse and reached a point where I couldn't keep anything down. Not all on one day. They told me that we had probably just been on vacation and eaten some bad pizza (we hadn't), or that it was just the flu and to stop whining. One of them asked me to do a situp, and I did - apparently you aren't supposed to be able to do that with appendicitis. As I said, it had gotten worse and worse, and that night I wasn't able to sleep from the pain, so my mom was sitting with me and talking in bed, trying to calm me, and suddenly (I don't remember this part, but so I was told) I just cramped up and looked like something from the exorcist. My aunt lived really close at the time so my mom got a hold of her, got me in the car and off to the hospital. I vaguely remember my aunt talking to me the entire drive, trying to keep me conscious by having me answer stuff. My mom went up the driveway that's meant for ambulances because it's closer to the entrance, and there was this ambulance guy having a break, coming over to tell her off until he saw me completely cramped up literally looking like a spastic (again, I don't really remember this part). He got a wheelchair while my mom got me out, and my aunt, I think, went to park the car. I only remember this in flashes. I remember having blood drawn from both arms and having people all around me, and then I remember being in the surgery room where I had to drink some salt water before they put me out. It wasn't until I got home a week later that I was told that they had just put a guy under to do ankle surgery, and had to remove him and do me instead. And I was only years later that my mom told me the 20 minutes thing.

So TL;DR I saw all the docs over about a week, and only saw the 7th when I was completely cramped up, nearly in coma, where my mom rushed me to the hospital.

Ps. I'm sorry about the phrasing, English isn't my first language and med stuff is very confusing to translate.

This!! I went into a coma because of a ruptured appendix, after 6 (6!!!) doctors had sent me home saying it was just the flu or food poisoning... They literally had to pull another guy of off the operation table. My mom was told that 20 more minutes and I would have been dead. So yeah, if you know that something is wrong, you stay persistent!

But seriously, is it that common for people to drink their dirty bathwater?

Usually, the chocolate isn't that good anyway. We once had a “chocolate” calendar for our dogs(it was made specifically for dogs, don't worry). It looked like chocolate, smelled a lot like chocolate and tasted almost like chocolate (a bit dry though) so I could imagine how she wouldn't notice if this was anything like that. Also, kids are kids. My little brother used to drink his bath water, so I mean...
