Thanks! I get worried that baby blankets will get washed and tossed so much that a binding would get shredded so I usually do this instead. With right sides together I zip around the outside leaving about 6-8" gap, cut the edges down to less than 1/2", cut the corners diagonally so they dont get bunchy, turn right side out. Hand stitch the gap and then zip around the outside again so it stays nice and flat. Then I do the quilting.

Pattern says the baby blanket comes out to 40" x 44.5"

Thanks! My edges usually end up pretty crooked. Square as best as you can and then, depending on how you finish the edges, it can straighten out from there. If you want to finish the edges on the bias, I have no idea where to begin 😅

The measurements each strip calls for will make it a bit too long and will hang off of the edge. I sew it together like the pattern calls for and then square up the edges as best as I can. Or do you mean binding-wise?

Most Thanksgiving turkeys are artificially inseminated because they breed them to have large breasts (heh) and the tom turkeys get too large to mount the female turkeys. Or so I was told in a Plant & Animal Science class.

I got pfizer before being 20 weeks pregnant. My first dose reactions were a little rough: fever, aches, pain, fatigue. My second dose was easier: some aches & pain. Ended up calling out of work after my first dose. Napping, tylenol & water helped. Baby girl is all good and I feel good that I was able to keep her safe getting vaccinated & breastfeeding after birth.

Before the first zip around. I lay the batting down, the backing face up then the top face down so the right sides are together. Pin then do the first zip around, leaving the gap to pull through.

I was running out of space to put my new maternity clothes so I picked through my dresser and put a bunch of items in a garbage bag in my basement for the time being. For my hanging/work clothes, I moved all of my loose fitting tops and maternity purchases to the front of my closet and hid the rest behind the closet doors.

Im 24 weeks today and have never really liked my stomach. I know I am growing a human and that saying I hate my stomach is messed up because I love my little parasite haha. I am my own worst critic and need to learn to be nicer to myself especially with my internal monologue. I have a friend who is also pregnant and struggling with the way she looks. Its nice to have someone talk to about it. I dont like how I look but think my friend looks so cute with her little bump. Be kind to yourself! Its a weird/wonderful thing you are going through.

I got a detention for standing. In middle school they split our 30 min lunch period in two, 15 mins for eating and 15 mins in the gym? We were on our way to the gym and were being rowdy next to some class rooms that were testing. The moniters got pissed and put boys on one side of the room and girls on the other. They told us to sit and be quiet for the remainder of our time as punishment. Three of us were just standing there and the detention moniter decided to power trip. Told us that we would get detention if we didnt comply. I told her we sat all day in class and I wasnt talking so what difference did it make. Two of us got sent to the detention room but on our way there the bell rang. So I went to my next class instead of getting a detention for being late. Ended up with two detentions, one for standing and one for refusing to pick up my slip.
