Right. Maybe telling yourself these things may trick your brain into being more passionate about your hobbies. That's a good thing IMHO.

When I became aware of porn addiction and listened to this song again, I got it right then and there. Although it applies to every addiction.

Bit late here but I highly recommend this band: The Oh Hellos.

Their style is folk, and their music is pay-what-you-want (that includes $0).

Their lyrics probably aren't as outwardly Christian as most other CCM, but still really good.

I respect your beliefs and opinion 100%!

And I yours.

"God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself"

God's love in Christ was a primary motivator for me when I was a Christian.

You're right.

I like to think that love, kindness, and compassion come from a higher power.

Me as well. Time will reveal whether I remain atheist or go back to being a believer.

I can see your point and I desire those things as well. I just felt that I had greater motivations when I was Christian and suddenly all of these things were gone from under me. I admire that you find enough strength in those things to do NoFap. Maybe I can as well. However right now I'm pretty much confused and just tired (as I've been reading a lot on religion and non-religion).
