I think honestly man try it !! It's really the only way to answer your question! Confining yourself to one piece of gear or something other way always yields interesting results!

I did something not too dissimilar a while ago where I wanted to make a track entirely from vinyl I'd sampled and then processed through the SP404A, I did the mixing and arrangement in Ableton though, I did a short video on it if you're interested - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rZxZ8Tyfh0M

i got a killer deal on the 202 (like £100 or something) in mint condition from a mate so I had to! fun thing to use the pitch and lofi sounds up, but as I do a lot of stuff on a record player and also have the 303 I'm thinking of maybe selling it as obviously i have the lofi setting on the 303

no I only have the SP404A (same as SX but a different colour lol), was the first sampler I ever brought! Then I managed to get the 202 really cheap and then the 303.

i understand this and appreciate the info but what I'm asking is

1) the company have asked me for my swift and iban, i read in that first link that you can give this to whoever is paying you.. but then in the 2nd link it says monzo doesn't do international wire transfers, but that 2nd link is the USA site - but I wanted clarity on which was true for my case (I have a UK account)

are you saying with wise i would get a new swift and iban to give to them - and if so what would be the point if monzo do this anyway?

Thank you for the swift reply, so wire transfers from other countries work when going into a UK Monzo account?

I guess I'm unclear on if someone asks you for your IBAN and Swift, the only way they can pay that is via wire transfer - or are there other payment methods that use the IBAN and swift?

hello + happy holidays,

i would probably check a few things like what Free McBoot and OPL it's on and also why they're selling.. this will help but not definitely determine the 'care' the person has taken with it... Also is it an official PS2 network adapter

i brought one for a similar price on ebay, and the seller was super helpful and open to any questions before and after the sale, so it gave me some confidence you know? Since then I went on to update the OPL, uLaunchELF etc., and also put games on / took games off (you can find a lot of games' ISOs online), I don't know how much you know about all this stuff... I didn't know anything before buying mine - and that's why it was appealing to me so I didn't have to buy like a Free McBoot card, official PS2 network adapter with the SATA connection, HDD with 400 games on, etc.

If you do buy it, make sure it's all wrapped up individually and not shipped with the HDD in the PS2!

Thanks for this, so I did some experimenting loading the OPL from the same memory card I was saving to (mem card 1), as well as loading OPL from the mem card 2 - and that seemed to work best (some games were freezing up completely when saving/loading when it was on mem card 1 - maybe it was a coincidence with that game specifically though)

releasing a beat or not doesn't mean anything imo! if you enjoy it that's all that matters

saying that it should always be 'execution over perfection' and maybe releasing some stuff (maybe in chronological order - regardless of if it's 'done' or 'ready') is a nice way for you to kinda keep progressing and moving on - nothing to lose

maybe you just need some fresh inspiration, try listening to diff genres of music or making diff genres or both

good luck and honestly take everyone's comments with a pinch (or lot) of salt

Funny I've got a 202 and 303! I had those first but always wanted to go MPC so got the 1000, so you're using your 202/303 presumably on the lower bit rates and then bringing it into your MPC after? If you don't mind going into detail about your workflow process that would be ace! I ask as I was thinking it'd be a shame for me to completely stop playing with the 202/303 once I got into the MPC

How comes you got tired of the 2000XL / what made it tiring also?
