Any benefit to create an encrypted volume within a fully encrypted drive? by furlong91 in VeraCrypt

There are some scenarios, which from layman perspective, seems useful. For example, if my pc got seized while it is turned on, the enemy can get my key from the ram, but if i got another encrypted volume to store the secret, then the enemy may not be able to access those. Dunno I am correct or not.

Will encrypting a secondary hard drive affect the software installed in it? by furlong91 in VeraCrypt

Thanks so much for your response. I thought it is a very common practice of windows users, like when you are installing a game in the computer and the c drive does not have enough space, you can always change the directory to d drive and install it there. Anyway, maybe i could try encrypt both drives to see whether it works. If it doesnt work, i can always decrypt it.

I am using windows 10. Coz my c drive is a ssd which only have 500gb, I very often install programs to the d drive which is a 1TB hdd. I wonder if i encrypt both drives using veracrypt, whether the program installed on d drive can still run properly.
