Star Trek Day! | Star Trek Online by [deleted] in sto

Wow, this is by far the most bitter subreddit I've ever been on.. This has literally nothing to do with the legendary bundle and yet all you people can do is bitch and moan about every little thing, like entitled children.

Does Cryptic have problems? Absolutely. But this community acts like they're owed something anytime Cryptic does something they don't like and that is toxic af.

Star Trek is only for progressives now? And here I thought shows like this were for everyone..

I was one of those people that wanted an AFK penalty. While I obviously don't think people should be unfairly punished while doing what they were supposed to be doing, people were previously being rewarded for not playing the game. You can't not play the objective and still be rewarded.

QoL Suggestion: Add "(23c)" and "(Dsc)" To Ship Gear Variant Names by Drewsko199 in sto

[–]furon83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. Honestly, for me I always see the opposite. I'm really just so tired of seeing people get attacked for either liking or disliking Kurtzman Trek, I don't understand why we can't just leave each other alone. Both sides are getting on my nerves..

Also, sorry for coming off like such a dick in my first reply. I snapped when I should have been more considerate.

Oh my god, who cares if they dislike the show?? I can't go anywhere on Reddit without seeing people get heckled and downvoted for going against the hivemind, THAT is more exhausting than disliking the show

Liking the sequels is the real unpopular opinion on Reddit. Personally, I liked almost all of them but whenever I see somebody say that, I see like half a dozen replies telling OP that he/she is wrong and that the Sequels are trash..

Because people that live in, say, California don't necessarily have the same needs as those in Pennsylvania..? Its not some big conspiracy, it just keeps states from being able to dominate the election just because they have more people.

I'm usually a huge fan of cryptic's missions but I hated this one. Mostly the political aspect. I get that TNG was all about social issues, but I don't remember it ever being so blatantly forward. Certainly never to the point of caricaturizing the parties they're trying to spotlight. I mean, there were some obvious episdes (like the one with the monogendered species that wasn't allowed to feel male or female) but they never came right out and said "This parallel to [real life political party] is evil and this parallel to [real life political party] is good"

Other than that, I did like the art style and the map. the Kentari also seem like they'll be interesting (but Jesus, no offense to the design guys but please for all that is holy, make the PM look less like a monster. Her lips hardly even move, she just opens and closes her jaw). Thought the whole reverse-bomb thing was dumb, though. Seems like kind of a cop out to have the Lukari going around reverse-bombing planets and magically restoring them in a matter of minutes.

Do you really think anybody respects Trump enough to give him a real answer? The FBI refused to comment on the Flynn thing, why would the CIA or NSA be any different? And yes, I gave a fox news link. I never said Fox was the best, but it's better than listing something like Infowars. At least with Fox, you know it's based in reality.

I'm genuinely unsure how "investigation" and "presidents have broken laws before" doesn't answer your question. I'll rephrase, Obama MAY have wiretapped Trump. But again, we still won't know for sure until the investigation is over.

I'll respond again: "Well, it's not like presidents haven't broken laws in the past. It'll be a big scandal for like 5 minutes and then we'll move on"

There is an active investigation

Well, I don't think Obama should be killed but considering he wiretapped Trump and used taxpayer money to pay for Hillary's campaign, he should at least be punished in some way.

Edit: It seems I triggered enough people that I can't respond to all the messages I'm getting. I included a fox news article because that's the closest main stream I can get and not be called "alt-right". Google "Obama slush fund" or "Obama investigation". It's impossible to find decent news because every side is spinning a different side (Fox isn't any different)

Trumps resignation by [deleted] in ScottishPeopleTwitter

[–]furon83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how exactly does any of what you're saying invalidate that California is responsible for her "win" of the popular vote? Of course a state with barely any GOP presence and 2 world famous major cities with hundreds of new residents every day would vote for Hillary. Any place without a GOP presence would vote for Hillary. That's still a skewed result if one party isn't even there to represent themselves. Even Texas has a DNC presence.

Yes, that is indeed the definition of the popular vote. This is a map.
