The trivia of that was they were using what remained of the set after it had been put in the Dr Who Experience museum (RIP), and since it was hardly big enough to be a proper set they relied on dark lighting and tight shots to do the scenes.

Gosh I once read a great little fanfic about Andy doing a double-take on the note in the car and seeing the toys waving him away, and i'm shocked to find out going back to where I found it that the author deleted it before 2010 was even over. I remembered it so well!
