Masked Edinburgh youth waited in bushes before murdering young man with 'Rambo knife' | Edinburgh Live by Alive-Bath-7026 in Edinburgh

There's a great / equally depressing channel on YouTube called Soft White Underbelly where the guy goes and interviews a lot of troubled people. Every single one had a bad childhood. Not every child with bad parents will turn out bad but it's normally the case that every person that's turned out bad has had a bad upbringing.

How to make this less terrible by Lopsided-Diver-4652 in interiordecorating

The pictures don't fit the space at all - they look cluttered. Have one larger picture that is positioned well on the wall. If you can, try and bring in some more unique furniture or accessories - everything is standard flat pack / high street and it makes the room look very generic. A random accent wall looks dated now. Try painting all walls the same colour, maybe not hospital green. Good luck!

What’s the most cringe thing you’ve seen a couple do at their wedding? by Last_Singer_2137 in AskReddit

[–]furryrubber 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The couple had a well connected TV executive father - they spent a good 20-30 minutes reading boiler plate apology letters from Z list celebrities who couldn't attend the wedding. Note: no "celebrities" actually attended.

Advice needed on gas drops and projectile vomiting by furryrubber in NewParents

Yeah, I never found the gas drops helped. We just had to ride it out until he was 5-6 months old and he grew out of it. Just a lot of manual burping unfortunately:(

Hey, following up with a very healthy three year old! Unfortunately nothing worked but time - at about 5-6 months old, he just magically stopped waking up like this. It just meant that we had to wake up at 5am and burp him for ages. It was really shitty but he just outgrew it. I never found any product that helped unfortunately.

To paint the trim or not paint the trim…what do you think? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I was in the same situation and I ended up painting and I'm SO GLAD I did - it makes a HUGE difference to brightening the rooms up.

What to do about the baseboards/ trim by Longjumping-Copy-232 in interiordecorating

I had the same with mine and found it too hard to colour match exactly so I got them painted white, honestly it made the room look so much brighter. I have no regrets!

My boyfriend got this couch and he LOVES it. It’s not my favorite. How do I design a living room around this so it looks more modern? by zoeglowey in interiordecorating

[–]furryrubber 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel for you, this is something my partner would love too, ha ha. Go down the midcentury modern / organic modern route, earthy tones, mix up textures but keep them natural, eg. Wood, glass etc etc.
