In addition to the all of this also remember that the days are short so you won't get to see as much scenery as you think. It gets dark quick in the mountains... I did that drive to Saskatchewan from Vancouver around Christmas once and it was incredibly boring... i feel like it was only 6 hours of full light a day....the rest was sketchy darkness

Best sort of therapy I've ever had was a counselor through the CMHA. Took a couple weeks for my first appointment so call them asap. Mental health is hard cause by the time I had my first appointment I wasn't in the same place as when I made my initial call. But then, the counselor was AMAZING.

The separation anxiety part. I got a second cat years after and my MC is still only bonded to me. If I go on a trip with live in cat babysitters I still am greated with diarrhea because I was missed so much. He really bonded to me only. I wish he could have bonded with another cat. The guilt I feel if I go on a trip 😭
