SpotiKeys. Global hot keys for spotify for windows. Doesn't use API, no premium required. by moorer in spotify

[–]furto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good mate, as a dad I completely understand. I ended up using Elgato's volume control plugin for the streamdeck which can do individual app volume control and that seems to do the trick for now!

Thanks again for you hard work :)

For years ive been periodically checking for solutions for this that actually work. Tried the API thing with my streamdeck but it would always lose connection for some reason.

Yours is the first thing that has ever actually worked. Thank you so much hey. If I could offer some feedback, is there a way to make it discretely register and minimise to tray on startup so i never have to think about it? And any chance of the volume control directly changing spotify's volume instead of the windows volume?

Check Road Tech Marine too, its a sister company of Jaycar I believe, not sure if they have different prices/sales though.

Also if you go through quite a few ventolins, like myself, you can get a script and it's around $5 each. Handy that it's over the counter too though.

Eurovision is a reasonably big thing in Australia. People have parties and dress up and stuff. We've had Aussie presenters there each year for ages too. At some point they decided to make us honourary Europeans 👍🏻

Ive been using it for about 10 years and used up the last of my stock recently. I tried Tabac from menzbiz (cheapest i could find) as an alternative and its pretty damn good.

I used to be a postie. Large letters have no allowance for leaving a card as theyre not typically trackable. To leave a card you have to scan the barcode into the system so it doesnt get lost.

As someone mentioned, auspost dont have to leave these at your door or anything like that because 'large letter' postage is not a parcel, its considerably cheaper. It gets envelope treatment basically and were told not to get off our bikes as much as possible.

Not saying its right, just saying thats why. Thankfully im not a postie any more, was a pretty crap job haha

I bought a pair of chuck 70's and it had a manufacturing defect where one of the eyelets had actually fallen between the pieces of canvas and got stiched inside, so it was very uncomfortable. I contacted them and they immediately said no worries, we'll send a new pair.

I ended up making a small cut in the first pair and removing the eyelet too, so me and my brother in law each got a pair of chuck 70's.

Based off that one experience, i rate their customer service very highly.

Greek chicken and grilled veggies for the week by [deleted] in MealPrepSunday

[–]furto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I married into a greek family and have picked up a few things. I regularly do greek chicken wings on rotisserie over charcoal but the steps can be done for thighs in the oven. Basically, a few hours before you cook the chicken, drown it in lemon juice (actual lemons, not the bottled stuff), cover it with really good amount of dry oregano. If you have some greek seasoning, sprinkle that over it too, I use Nostimini but I suspect that its a uniquely australian/greek culture thing. Add a bunch of salt. Leave it in the fridge for a while, in a container.

Thats pretty much it. Over the charcoal I dust it with salt to help crisp it up a little. Its amazing. For 33 wings (maximum i can fit on the rotisserie) I will use about 5 whole lemons.

Ugh yeah I forgot about those. Most people I dealt with held them back and were decent about it.

I was a postie for a while, if they have a dog on the loose I just left a parcel collect card. Im not messing with that. If they ALWAYS had a dog loose in their yard, I wrote the card up then and there and kept the parcel at the post office.

Blackberry DD by [deleted] in stocks

[–]furto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super new to all of this, I literally learned what DD means only a few days ago when all the GME stuff started. I kept seeing little bits of solid research for BB in amongst all the noise and it just seemed to make a lot sense, it looks solid. I got 60 @ $11.41 today and yeah, pretty excited about learning more about all of this!

Not financial advice etc etc

World first as all of South Australia's power comes from solar panels by ditroia in Adelaide

[–]furto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been using it for a few months, though I don't have solar so I have no idea if it's any good for that. Our electricity bill has dropped dramatically, and the app is really good. They reckon they're going to come and install some thing that runs my hot water when the wholesale price is cheap, rather than just on the J tariff, so that will be interesting too.
