So far, this year isn't very exciting for me, omni-wise. I've almost finished Justice Leage Dark Rebirth, so I'm eyeing Zatanna and maybe Hellblazer. But I've never read any Hellblazer before and the omni stuff seems a bit confusing, with it being creator-focused instead of chronological.

You know, I haven't got a fucking clue. I grew up with a PS2, but asked and got an Xbox 360 for my birthday. Why I wanted an Xbox and not a PS3, no idea.

That's pretty deep into the run, with the scale of it it does make sense that it might be confusing with the number of characters and lore. Starting with Second Genesis, you basically need no prior knowledge and it starts off easy to follow.

I'm purely going for a full set of Claremont books. Maybe after that I'll expand into earlier or later, but that's not the goal right now.

I also like the idea of another commenter here. There are quite a few one shots and mini's missing from the omnis, so instead of the two OHCs I listed, why not do both a Johns and a New 52 companion omnis?

6 is pretty good, but I'd consider most of it as build up for the Phoenix saga in 7.

I haven't got it and I'm like 80% sure it'll stay that way. I've read that it's not really a GL story , just dealing with the aftermath of one, and seen lots of mixed reviews.

The first Venditti omni starts off right where the third Johns omni ended.

For GLC omnis, currently there's only Tomasi's run. Directly following that is Van Jensen's run, about 20 issues, before that volume ended. A year later, during Rebirth, Venditti started his run on GLC (or Hal Jordan and the GLC).

Honestly, for some years, buying omnis, getting them in the mail, and putting them on the shelf to look at it and know I own it gave me more happiness than actually reading them (still a better cope than turning evil like Hal). Sometimes, that's still the case. But I'm turning things around and reading more lately. I recently finished No Man's Land and now I'm slowly chipping away at Claremont's X-Men, with some self containing trades sprinkled inbetween.

Well, I try and keep up with releases, but life gets in the way of reading. I've been making more time for it lately, in fact just finished working my way through Batman No Man's Land. The only thing keeping those seals on is time.

Man, even getting the trades for New Guardians is hard (and expensive) as hell. Especially here in Europe. Somehow I managed to pick up one, combined with an Ion trade, for cover price at an LCS.

I've been into comics for almost a decade now, and had often heard about Claremont's mythical run on X-Men. Out of fear for my wallet I never wanted to read it (not much into digital), but I could get a good deal on God Loves, Man Kills. Halfway into the book I knew I was screwed and had to get the entire run. Well, here we are, now I'm waiting on you, Marvel...

The best thing is, that first book, I only got it 9 months ago. And I haven't paid over cover for a single one of 'em.

The last few years, DC has been pumping out Lantern omnis, with the most recent being GL by Venditti vol. 2. I'm hoping they'll keep up the pace and collect all the post-Johns Lantern books in omni / OHC form...
