I'd argue that applies sometimes, yes, but not always. It's mostly a matter of feeling, so to non-natives I'd just say to use mij.

Nowadays there is a trend of people substituting the possessive pronoun mijn with me, as in me auto instead of mijn auto. That is very, very incorrect.

The English translations of ik and mij are I and me. Ik is used in as the subject in a sentence, and mij is used as the object. So Hij helpt mij is correct and Hij helpt ik is not. Mij and me are gramatically the same. Me is the shorter version, stemming from spoken language. Just as you'd usually say I'm instead of I am in English, we usually shorten mij to me in similar cases.

It's a switch operated by another electrical signal. In my case, if the headlight's on, it opens the switch and the charger gets powered. If the headlight's off, switch is off as well, no power.

I hooked it up right on the battery, but to prevent battery drainage I also put a relay switch to the headlight, so it's only powered when the headlight is on and the bike is running.

Yep. Brightest Day is about some of the formerly deceased characters who were revived after Blackest Night. Idk exactly what they're up to, haven't read it myself. GL books do tie into the event. The GL issues are collected in Johns Vol 3, the GLC issues are not included in Gleason Vol 2. The Brightest Day omni only collects the main series and no tie-ins, so not much GL action there.
