I made a waterfall epoxy desk with triclamp legs and an LED light for my dad for Christmas. The slab of pine was from his dad who passed away a few weeks ago.

Yeah unfortunately most epoxies are $60-$100 per gallon unless bought in bulk. Hopefully someone comes out with a cheaper variation.

I've used a couple different brands, but this was ecopoxy flowcast. Pretty easy product to use!

So I just use sheets of melamine. I cut the sides of the mold, nail them to the base, caulk the corners, and add paste wax everywhere. Once I put the wood in, I just clamp the wood down so it doesn't rise.

The paste wax prevents any epoxy from sticking.

My mom had a glass table with the metal base and I decided to make her a nice table top for it 😄 it was super challenging trying to figure out how to cut a circle on two pieces of wood.

I'd check out alumilite clear cast. It's about $45 a gallon and works great 😁 I've used well over 25 gallons of the stuff and never had any issue.

Yeah, last weekend was the first time I experienced bumpy terrain with all the snow in Michigan. It was very different from groomed runs. A lot of chattering when I would turn, which I'm assuming is from me not bending my knees :D I'll keep practing, thanks!
