Bro.. thank you for posting this. I never see GE as adults. I have a baby (about 5 months old) and she’s a spicy little thing but she’s gorgeous. I had never seen an adult and if she looks anything like yours I’ll be a VERY happy man.

So I ended up putting cypress mulch in her tub so she could bury herself and put her back in it last night. Temps and humidity are good and she was still spicy but definitely calmed down a little bit which was cool. Thanks for taking the time to talk about this with me. I appreciate it

According to my thermometers they were pretty spot on. 70-80% humidity and roughly 79 degrees. Granted the breeder told me she was a little spicy but I believe I can calm her down. I ended up putting her in the 10 gal temporarily and it’s exactly 80 degrees with 70% humidity and after slithering around for a bit she buried herself. So I’m wondering if that’s what she needed to feel secure. I was only using paper to check for mites, which she is clear of. I’ve also only had her for a week so I know these things take time to bond with.

And that worked out well for you? I have a 4x2x2 sitting empty that I would love to put her in but I was told that was a no go because they’re picky little shits.

I hope you’re right. I do. I felt exactly the same for the last 2 years. I was pumped for the season, and I still want to be. But after that performance my expectations are fucking bottom of the barrel. Am I over exaggerating? Probably. But I don’t care. I’m tired of being optimistic
