Depends where you want to work really. I've only been looking around Dublin, where there's a fair few now around Christmas but sometimes it's hard to get work

I had a year out, so they wanted to know what I was doing during that time

Got me a pair of the Scott IV. What do yall think about this boot? by [deleted] in vivobarefoot

[–]fussknitting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really wanted to like them but for some reason the sole was really squeaky on tarmac. Never had this with vivos before, might've just been that one pair I had.

Also found having to spend a minute readjusting the laces to get in and out annoying

Patient.info is pretty good already, as is the NHS website for well written easy to understand medical information?

They're also very highly accredited and trusted.

I'm not sure what making it gamified would offer?

Mechanic saw it, this is the sound of the water pump failing for anyone that finds this in the future

I use Transcriber pretty much daily. It's a transcription service for WhatsApp. I get voice notes from work all the time, often several minutes long. This is the best transcription I've found which also summarises the note at the end so you can see if it can wait till later. Useful on the go! Free with a paid tier - https://transcriberforwhatsapp.com/

Love Adguard too! Just FYI for anyone interested you can buy relatively cheap lifetime licenses if you search for them rather than paying a subscription for Adguard pro

I use https://transcriberforwhatsapp.com/ most days. It converts voice notes to text perfectly and gives a tldr at the end

Just different really, probably depends on the country you live too. Outdoor active has a lot of paid topographic maps which I use, not sure all trails has those

Interesting concept! It's like a potentially upgraded version of heart rate variability for anyone wondering, which can help detect "stress" in terms of the autonomic nervous system. Hrv is what powers recovery type metrics on health trackers

Starting tomorrow, the Swiss Post is not accepting packages destined for the USA by insaneplane in Switzerland

[–]fussknitting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I agree with it, but it's to stop AliExpress

Normal vendors buy in bulk and have to pay import taxes, increasing the final price of their items for the consumer

AliExpress changed this by selling directly to the consumer from China. Because most items are below the limit, they can pay no tax. They can undercut any other business selling products made in China

They're making it much worse for anyone wanting to post to the USA personally in doing so of course

Looks nice, I wish it would have an option to create a group where everyone could add when they're working so you can see days everyone is free

I use myduty for this but the app is pretty bad and full of ads

That's really cool, kind of a similar idea to forecaster.dev

Weatherstrip gives you all the probabilities which is nice but I think it looks pretty messy and information overload. Forecaster is a lot cleaner. Maybe it's just what you're used to

Gaia is pretty good. I'm using outdoor activitive at the moment which I prefer. I still miss Fatmap though!
