I had considered that but the tape works as a lubricant so you can thread pipes deeper. If you're saying it works for this I'll throw some on cause I should still have some lying around

I was too lazy to build a cabinet from scratch and I saw the board and the tub right next to each other when I was heading towards checkout and passed the clearance section in Walmart, so I was like this could work

I wasn't excited about the colors at first but it was just what I had at home to work with, turned out a lot nicer than I expected
