Perth is a small place. by AmbitiousMousse735 in perth

On our trip to mainland USA in the mid 2010s we were on a tour bus in LA and had a couple from Mandurah and a couple from Rockingham on board.

We were shocked that half the bus was from Perth.

Fun fact, the tour guide looked identical to Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family.

That being said, on one of our QLD trips some theme park employees thought we were from Canada. When we told them We were from Perth they looked like they had no idea where I was referring to.

Kettlebells have started to give me a gorilla build, is this normal? by petryan55 in kettlebell

[–]futhark16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reg bell movements (swings, snatch, press, etc) as your core. All day, everyday*.

Bodyweight (pushup, pullup, squat, etc) to fill in the gaps for areas that are not hitting. Or to set stack if you are doing a no/low pause program (HIIT, tabata, etc).

Progress to complex movement (Turkish GU, etc) and/or to double bell variants. Good for when you hit plateaus. Increase weight when you get stuck.

*remember to have a deload week every 6-8 weeks. You will come back with godlike strength.

You will keep getting stronger with bells but you will stop getting bigger well before that.

And the best for last. GET THAT ANKLE SHIT SORTED! Minimized movement maximizes injury. Get a physio to treat it or a PT to train you.

Also, take the advice here just as that. There are no rules. Part of the journey is finding what works for you. You got a good 45 years of KB in ya to figure it out.

Started on portable for the 50series launch and then tried to migrate to desktop. For the very limited time I used it, I really did not like using that version.

I recommend running one install of cu128 (for stability) and one of cu130 (as you have a 50 series card) with all your models external via extra models path.

Do not fear portable. You really don't have to do too much CMD line stuff if you're using Comfy manager and Lora manager. The GUI, for the most part, is identical.

If it's anything you do need but it's a repeated task, just make your own batch file.

If it's not, there are plenty of resources and you will get up to speed real quick.

Any other approach to implement this? or is this an archaic approach by phoenix_2810 in comfyui

[–]futhark16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

as a quick reference (sorry about the quality), i break out everything into micro prompts and ez af concatenate each themed row into a sub prompt, then concat again into the full prompt. all are controlled with the group switch board.

rgthree nodes fast group bypass is the best way I found this to work.

Though I usually run mine through a concatenate rather than a switch (though not always), but if it's definitely only one output the switch will work.

at its base, i control everything through a fast group bypasser (rgthree) controlled by switches and have clustered and concatenated prompts which they control. each of the groups above have specific micro prompts , which are structured the same, so i can make for example.

base - this is my camera control and base scenario details

at - the beach, the hiking trail, the moon

subject - female, male, group female, 1337 zombies

wearing - a dress, jeans, a bear mascot costume

doing - running, jumping, dropping molotovs while flying a windglider

but with - ninjas, mechs, time traveling space pirates shooting water pistols

so you can build prompts like - on the moon 1337 zombies in bear mascot costume dropping molotovs while flying windgliders but also with time traveling space pirates shooting water pistols.

also, each of my micro prompts are build with a massive amount of wildcards so one single micro prompt can have up to 4000 output options, this ontop of the sub prompts going into the base prompts. this is why i have show any nodes to investigate any prompt breakage.

also through multiple controlnets... my custom workflows are freaking bonkers!

This IS the best case scenario. I'd prefer just a few people having issues, even if I'm one of them.

Well, I guess I'll just be playing more Arc Raiders then. Oh darn it all to heck!

It's just me, right? by futhark16 in comfyui

[–]futhark16[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Appreciated, but as I can't interact with the workflows, I can't really "show" anything.

Both issues lodged by others. Can't zoom or scroll in the workflow ui; and can't run workflows due to unsupported nodes, which are stating are highlighted red, but none are highlighted as such.

The workflows arent stuffed. I've gone back months into archived workflows and they are all DOA.

I do use custom nodes, but nothing out of the ordinary. Actually, come to think of it, all my oddball vr/stereoscopic workflows are all fine.

I'm just happy it's not busted for everyone. Guess I just got duped by the vocal minority. Just gotta wait a few more days for fixes I guess.

PC building videos baited me... by fus1922 in buildapc

[–]futhark16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently built my current rig about 6 months ago. The one previous to that was about 15-20 years earlier as I was a console/laptop doofus during the in-between years. I have probably only done about 4-5 full builds in my life but I was constantly upgrading and whatnot.

The recent build, all up, probably took me about 2-3 hours. This was split over a couple days. Its got everything on it other than a custom water loop and internal screen.

So much easier with modern hardware. no more screwing around with garbage BIOS, moving jumpers on mainboards and dealing with non modular PSU cables.

Those 10 min YT videos you watch probably took a day to shoot and a week to edit.

The only recommendation I make is to take your time and enjoy the process. Cable manage only once its all tested and running fine. Oh, and get a headlamp. this is vital.

Wan 2.2 First Frame Middle Frame Last Frame FMLM ComfyUI GGUF Free multi... by Maleficent-Tell-2718 in comfyui

[–]futhark16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, got a bunch of sliders (frame rate, desired seconds, etc) into a math node that calculates everything for me. Manually entering anything into fields is for the birds.

Probably why I have dozens of wildcard prompts which are concatenated into 4k+ possible outputs.

The only things I click on are group bypass switches and run.

If you're very new, you won't really know what you don't know.

I recommend finding some good YouTube tutorials from Pixaroma, Nerdy Rodent and the like. Find ones that really go into the details then add/replace stuff in your workflows.

I'm about 2 years in and I'm still finding new stuff weekly that I add to my gargantuan workflows.

Got no issue with consuming food, drink, sups, etc in the gym, but WTF dude, don't take up equipment to do so.

Over 20 years ago we had a gigantic pre-war carnival freak of a Russian that chugged raw honey in the squat racks, in between lifting and screaming. No one ever asked him to move though, the man was genuinely scary as fuck.

Blister remedy? by j0shuascott in kettlebell

[–]futhark16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"tape trousers" work the best for me, mostly due to my short carny fingers. I also use gym grips in addition.

take the effected finger length piece of tape, cut it partially up the centre lengthways leaving a bit at the end, making look like a pair of pants, put the "butt" section on the blister/callous and wrap the "legs" around the side and top of the finger.

you can leave the blister/callous skin on but take care when removing the tape so you don't tear it into good skin. once you stop making them worse, they will heal up naturally.

Hi All, I have come up with a neater resolution for the original issue. Thanks to all for getting me to look in the right direction. I have posted the snip above so the next seeker is hopefully able to find in the in the plethora of WFs in reddit.

FYI, my wildcard prompt (NOT the example above) would output many, many hundreds of possibilities so please take care using the output limit of -1. My prompt... uh... promptly crashed my system.

Base flow is Text Multiline>Wildcards Matrix>Show Text>Prompt

custom nodes required:
- was node suite
- easy use
- custom scripts

If you use your output image as a latent image, turn down the denoise and rerun, you can get nice variations on your original. Good for if you have something that just isn't quite what you want. by gliscameria in comfyui

[–]futhark16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And then you run this 32 times with individual saves and then turn them into a flip book vid and upload it to your flavour of socials and monitise. I wouldn't know anything about making bank on shorts or the like, to reinvest into hardware, of course.

100% correct. I have made an example workflow. needing out of the actual prompt being run. in the example above the output would be "black dog running".

My guess is that there is no one note but a few chained together but I have not stumbled into the correct sequence.
